Neighborhood

Walcha was the first area to be discovered in the New England region. It was on the route taken by the explorer John Oxley and reached on 8th September, 1818. He named the Apsley River after the Secretary of State for the colonies, Lord Apsley. On the doorstep: Oxley Wild Rivers National Park with Apsley and Tia Falls, sweeping granite gorges, and the Walcha MTB Trails’ pine-forest singletrack—plus quiet country roads and famed gravel loops rolling straight from town. From sunrise rides to waterfall walks, Red Hill is your New England High Country basecamp.

Guest Access

Cabin #1 is an elevated structure requiring 4-stairs to be climbed to access the living area. The entire living area, bedroom and ensuite are on a single level without barriers to mobility. There are handrails on both sides of the stairs, but no wheelchair or other mobility challenged access points. a more detailed picture can be provided for guest consideration upon request.

Beautiful and quiet little getaway perfect for a couple. The outlook was stunning. Everything was clean and tidy and I felt right at home. Also love the little Christmas decorations that were out up. Really made it feel more homey

Jai Ann is extremely lovely and helpful. The was a widespread blackout (due to storms) when we stayed, and she did everything possible to make us comfortable. The house is cozy and clean, with beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend!

Very close to Walcha. Beautiful setting. Very private. Easy to deal with the manager. Very comfortable bed. Exceptionally clean. Bigger towels would be nice. The Wifi didn't work (could connect but no service), however there was a big storm that night which may have been a factor.
